On the art of doing nothing, beautifully, for a single afternoon.

Most of travel's pleasures are inaccessible to most travelers. The pool at the Cipriani, the onsen at Aman, the courtyard at Mamounia — these belong to guests of the house. We thought that was a shame.

BookDayPass is what we built instead. Two hundred and forty hotels and clubs, in forty-eight cities, who agreed to admit a small number of day visitors. No keys. No overnight bag. Just twelve hours, the way the regulars have it.

Some are five hundred euros. Some are forty. All are vouched for. The selection is small on purpose.

A day pass at the world's best hotels is, for the price of a decent dinner, the closest most of us will get to belonging somewhere we don't belong.
